Term 1, 2024 Weeks 1-2
Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to a new year of learning. We hope that you have all settled into the routine of school and that our year will be faith-filled and productive.
It was pleasing to see the Year 1 - 6 students eagerly return to school on Thursday 1st February showing a wonderful commitment to their learning journey. They have all had a fabulous week of activities and getting to know their new classroom space, teachers and friends.
The Kindergarten students began their first year of school this week. We had twelve smiling and excited faces line up to greet Mrs Hallett. We warmly welcome all the new families and look forward to sharing social gatherings and school events so that we can get to know each other. Thank you for entrusting your child to our care and we commit to ensuring that each child has opportunities to grow in faith, to achieve in learning and to be safe in our vibrant school.
We would like to thank you for your cooperation in bringing your children to school for the BEST Start meetings last week. These assessments allow the teachers to gain insights into the learning requirements for each child.
I would like to encourage you to keep informed with school events through the school Compass app, newsletters, school calendar and the Facebook page. These mediums are the official forms of communication within the school. If you have any questions contact the school office.
I would like to thank our dedicated staff for their care and commitment to our school community, and in particular for preparing an enriching programme of learning and setting up an engaging environment for our students to thrive and grow. I would like to wish Kylie and her husband best wishes during her leave and hope that she is back with us again soon.
Warmest Regards,
Jennifer Baker
Acting Principal

Religious Happenings

Next Wednesday we celebrate the Beginning of Lent with Ash Wednesday Mass at 12:15Pm.
During lent we focus on the three traditional pillars of Lent which are prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Through the three pillars of Lent we journey to develop a closer relationship to God. Students will be bringing home Project Compassion boxes next week. This is a small and visibe way that we can encourage each other to go without something during the season of Lent and give the money to people who are less fortunate than ourselves.

ThinkUKnow -Parental advice for posting images Aus Fed Police 2024
The Australian Federal Police have issued a warning today to parents of young school aged children about not posting information online that allows their child’s personal information to be shared on public sites. Some parents and carers do this inadvertently and may not be aware of some of the potential serious consequences.
