Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Friends,
I am delighted to share some wonderful highlights from recent events involving our talented and dedicated students.
First, congratulations to all our participants in the Spelling Bee. Our students showcased impressive spelling skills and sportsmanship, making us all proud with their efforts and achievements.
A special mention goes to our students who competed in the Dio Polding Cross Country event. Their hard work, determination, and school spirit were evident, and we commend them for their outstanding performances.
As part of Reconciliation Week, our primary students travelled to Mudgee to participate in a beautiful Mass organised by our Aboriginal Cultural Liaison Officer, Leanne Bovington. It was an honour to have Bishop McKenna in attendance, and our students had the opportunity to engage in various parts of the Mass, enriching their spiritual and cultural understanding. The day concluded with a joyful sausage sizzle, where we enjoyed fellowship with our friends from St Matthews, All Hallows, and St Michael's.
We are immensely proud of our students' achievements and their participation in these significant events, which highlight the values of dedication, community, and reconciliation that are at the heart of our school.
God Bless
Kylie Scott
Religious Happenings- Sacred Heart of Jesus Feast Day 7th June, 2024

The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a significant celebration in the Roman Catholic Church, dedicated to honouring the love, compassion, and mercy symbolised by the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This feast highlights the boundless and unconditional love that Jesus has for humanity, expressed through His suffering and sacrifice on the cross.
Key Aspects of the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus:
Love and Compassion: The Sacred Heart represents Jesus' immense love for all people, emphasising His compassion and care for humanity. It serves as a reminder of His loving nature and His desire to draw all people to Himself.
Mercy and Forgiveness: The Sacred Heart is a symbol of Jesus' mercy and readiness to forgive. It encourages the faithful to seek His forgiveness and to extend mercy and love to others.
Devotion and Reflection: The feast day is an opportunity for the faithful to deepen their devotion to Jesus by reflecting on His love and sacrifice. It inspires believers to live out the virtues of love, kindness, and forgiveness in their daily lives.
Historical Significance: The devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus dates back to the early centuries of Christianity but was popularised in the 17th century through the revelations of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, a French nun. She received visions of Jesus, who requested the establishment of a feast in honour of His Sacred Heart.
Liturgical Celebration: The Feast of the Sacred Heart is celebrated on the Friday following the second Sunday after Pentecost. It includes special prayers, readings, and hymns that focus on the themes of love, mercy, and the heart of Jesus as a source of spiritual renewal and strength.
Overall, the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a profound reminder of the central Christian message of love and redemption, calling the faithful to embrace and share these virtues in their own lives.

Science with Kindergarten
Kindergarten explored the different types of protective clothing worn by people doing different jobs and activities. They considered different hats, describing their materials and their purpose, they then drew and described the properties of a special type of clothing of their own. Students then undertook a practical investigation to determine which materials are waterproof, using the Predict, Observe, Explain format. What great little scientists they are!

Polding Cross Country
Rex participated in the Polding Cross Country CPS & CCC Cross Country Sydney Eastern Creek Equestrian Centre on the 5th June, 2024. He placed 16 out 43. What a great effort Rex.
