Welcome to Sacred Heart's Primary School. We are a Catholic school community that works closely with parents, to provide a safe, welcoming and happy school environment. We cater for children from Kindergarten to Year 6. Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School Coolah was founded in 1921 by the Sisters of St Joseph.
We are located in Coolah, a small rural town in the Central West of NSW and within the Diocese of Bathurst. We are proud of the students, parents and staff that make up our warm and friendly community. We celebrate the achievements of all the members of our school in a diverse range of academic, social, spiritual, sporting, artistic and cultural successes.
As a Josephite School, Sacred Heart strives to achieve quality holistic education and facilitates high levels of learning in a nurturing, Christ-centred environment. Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is a Professional Learning Community where our staff collaborate to ensure high levels of learning for all students in the school. We aim to promote within our students and our community members a love of God and a love for life-long learning.
Our priority at Sacred Heart is to educate the whole person. The religious, social, academic, physical and emotional aspects of our students are vitally important and we are committed to guiding each student to reach their goals. As part of a strong Parish community, we strive to ensure our faith is nourished. The values of the Gospel are central to all we do and there is a strong sense of belonging for each member of our community.
We invite parents to be involved in the life of our parish knowing that this involvement will assist in maximising educational outcomes for the children. At Sacred Heart, parents are recognised and celebrated as the first and most important educators of their children. A strong sense of partnership is evident in our school community by the high level of parent involvement and the great spirit of hospitality also shown by staff and students. We work together to create happy and safe play areas and classrooms, all of which are essential for a successful learning environment.
Our Parents and Friends Association is active and supportive, providing financial and moral support to our school. Through active fundraising, the P&F commit to assisting with school improvement and the purchasing of additional resources. We are forever grateful to the enthusiastic and hard-working volunteers for their dedication to the Sacred Heart school community.
We look forward to building strong relationships with our families, knowing that together we work in partnership to enliven our mission, vision and values.
